Formed in the summer of 2003, the Death of a Party began in the Oakland house party scene and quickly earned a loyal band of followers. With a dark, often dancey, post-punk sound and a manic live show compared to a full on gang fight, the Death of a Party are commited to delivering an exciting unique experience for anyone willing to listen.
The Death of a Party have played with Bloc Party, The Plot to Blow up the Eiffel Tower, The Noisettes, Deerhoof, Scarling, Von Iva, Autolux, Vanishing, the Phantom Limbs, and Get Hustle amongst others. They have toured the US with The Lovemakers and Metric.
